Do you believe him? Tuesday's Top 5's and Tonight's picks

After my post yesterday I got a chance to see the complete interview that Alex Rodriguez did with ESPN's Peter Gammons. I thought Rodriguez was doing what his agent told him to do. I think he was in-part truthful in the interview. However, I do not think he came totally clean and I do not think he would have ever came out with this if he wasn't caught. How do you say you were "naive, young and stupid" after all those years in Seattle? How do you not know what you put into your body to cause a positive test? Rodriguez kept reffering to a "grey" area in the game, which caused him to experience performance enhancers because of the pressure he was under after signing a record breaking contract, but I would have to think you either know you are doing something wrong or you don't, no matter what the rules are. Rodriguez will not be punished by baseball, but his legacy and chance to be a Hall of Famer are in serious doubt. My question to readers........Did you believe everything Rodriguez said yesterday was true? I think he is holding much more back. I also think he didn't have to blast Sports Illustrated for their report, it only made him look worse. Rodriguez would have made himself look much better if he had let his people do that for him.

Astros SS Miguel Tejada has been charged with lying about steroid use and is expected to take a plea later today. Tejada will avoid jail time. Idiot.

Charles Barkley will make his return to the TNT set after the All-Star break. Barkley took a leave of absence after a DUI arrest on December 31st. Hopefully, Barkley has everything under control because he is hands-down the most entertaining NBA Analyst on television.

The NBA will announce a new event at this year's All-Star Game. Kevin Durrant, OJ Mayo and Joe Johnson will compete in a game of H-O-R-S-E. I like the idea, however this game could take forever.
